Charles William ‘Rags’ Artman, 63, of E. Liverpool, OH, passed away Friday July 31, 2015 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Chuck was born Nov. 14, 1951 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Richard E. Artman and Ann J. (Young) Artman Bray, who survives.
He was retired from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., Mingo Jct. plant where he was a millwright.
He was an avid Harley Davidson collector and was a member of the Harley Owners Group.
Chuck was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his father, who preceded him in death, Chuck was also preceded by his step-father William Bray, his nephew Michael Artman and his brother-in-law Dale Wade.
Surviving is his mother, Ann of Toronto, OH; two sisters, Tracey Wade of Wellsville, OH and Dani (Jim) Pieniazek of Hammondsville, OH; two brothers, David (Deb) Artman and Curtis (Julie) Artman all of Toronto. Chuck was also greatly loved by all his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday Aug. 8, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Funeral services will be held on Sunday Aug. 9 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Greco and Pastor Lawrence Kimball officiating. Burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery.
Full military graveside honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post#86.
