Charles R. Pollack, 81, of Dillonvale, OH, passed away Wednesday Nov. 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

 

Charlie was born Jan. 3, 1936 in Dillonvale, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Klapka) Pollack.

 

He was retired from Timet-Titanium Metals Plant in Toronto, OH having worked in the Forge Dept. Charlie was a member of the Smithfield Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.

 

Charlie was also a Veteran of the US Army Armored Div.

 

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Theresa Pollack.

 

Charlie leaves behind his wife, Marlene K. (Kontra) Pollack with whom he recently celebrated 60 years of marriage having wed Oct. 12, 1957; his three daughters, Pam (Steve) Vanezalos of Dillonvale, Jeannine (Kris) Carducci of Marysville, OH and Beth Busby of Belmont, OH; his four grandchildren, Alex and Megan Vanezalos and Brenna and Aaron Busby.

 

Family and friends will be received Sunday, Nov. 5 from 4 -7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 107 Hill St. in Smithfield, OH. His funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Monogioudis officiating. Burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
