Charles Harvey Scott, 85, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday April 12, 2018 in Trinity West in Steubenville, OH.
Harvey was born July 6, 1932 in Empire, OH, son of the late Charles V. and Dorothy ‘Flo’ (Myers) Scott.
He was retired from Timet Manufacturing Plant in Toronto and the Public Library System of Jeff. Co. Harvey also was formerly worked at the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Toronto.
Harvey was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Korean War. He was an original member of the TORVETS group in Toronto, the Toronto American Legion, Past Commander, a former officer of the Toronto Eagles, a member of the PNA Club in Steubenville and an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Jean (Trepanoski) Scott who passed May 6, 2003; two sisters and five brothers.
Harvey leaves behind his two sons, JR (Sherra) Scott of Elgin, SC and Charles (Rachel) Scott II of Toronto; his sister, Margie Brown of E. Liverpool, OH; six grandchildren, Brianna and Delaney Scott and Tyler and Chase Scott, Eric Michael and Derek White.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 17 at 1 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. There will be memorial visiting hours from 11 am til time of the service at 1 pm. Rev. Raul Diaz will officiate and the Toronto American Legion will present Military Honors. www.jefosterfh.com
