Donald Keith Owens

Donald Keith Owens, Jr., 64, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday Jan. 19, 2017 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Keith was born Jan. 17, 1953 in Steubenville, son of the late Donald Keith, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Tague) Owens.

He was owner and operator of the former Blue Danube Bar and Restaurant in Toronto.

Keith was a Veteran of the US Army and a member of the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles.

In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by his son, Donald ‘Donnie’ Owens in 2011 and by his second wife, Sherry Owens.

Surviving are his children, son Mike Owens and daughter Tammie (Travis) Stoica both of Toronto; his step-son, David Thomas of Weirton, WV his three grandchildren, Mykal Lynne Owens, T.J. and Trevor Stoica; his four sisters, Donna (Jim) Cronin of FL, Beth (Dave) Ohalek of Toronto, Diane (Bill) Ksiazek of Wintersville, OH and Janet Owens of Toronto; his brother, Jim Owens of Toronto; his first wife and mother of his children, Vickie Black also of Toronto and his three nieces and five nephews.

There will be a Memorial Celebration of his Life held on Monday evening at 7pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Rev. Ed Kovacik will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 6 pm until time of his service at 7 pm. The Toronto American Legion Post #86 will provide military honors following the service.
