Eli D. Schultz

Eli D. Schultz, 89, of Stratton, OH, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at his home.

Eli was born Aug. 2, 1927 in Stratton, son of the late Michael and Julia (Molchan) Schultz.

He was retired from First Energy Sammis Plant in Stratton where he worked as a foreman. Eli was a member of St. Andrews Orthodox Church in Mingo Jct., OH where he was a reader and a member of the choir. He was a graduate of Toronto High School and a former councilman for the Village of Stratton.

Eli was able to witness his beloved Chicago Cubs win the 2016 World Series last month. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan. He also was a Veteran of the US Navy.

In addition to his parents, Eli was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Anna (John) Rosak, an infant sister Mary, his sister-in-law Mary Ann Schultz and his nephews, John and Ron Rosak.

Eli leaves behind his brother, Paul ‘Pat’ Schultz of Weirton, WV; his niece, Paula (Jim) Exler of Moon Twp., PA, nephew, Dr. John (Sonia) Schultz of Weirton, twin nephews, Anthony (Tammy) Schultz of Columbus, OH and Michael (Airry) Schultz of Weirton, niece Patricia Schultz also of Weirton, nephew Paul (Diana) Rosak of Georgetown, PA, niece-in-law Jean Rosak of Ellwood City, PA and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, Dec. 4 from 3-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto, OH. Additional visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 5 from 10 am til time of his funeral service at 11 am at St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Mingo Jct. The V. Rev. Father John Kopcha will officiate and his burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery. Military Graveside Honors will be provided by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.

There will be a Panachida Service Sunday at 6 pm at the funeral home.
