Helen E. Julian, ‘Grandma Helen' 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014 in Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV. Helen was born Feb. 7, 1934 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Homokey Penna. Helen formerly worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. as a millwright, also at the former Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville. She was Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Dominic ‘Hunkes' Julian in 1993; her grandson Anthony DeCesare; three sisters Elizabeth Dalesio, Margaret Mosser and Concetta ‘Connie' Penna; three brothers Pete, Joseph and Louis Penna. Surviving is her son, Anthony J. ‘Toby' DeCesare of Toronto, with whom she resided; two grandchildren, Vanessa and Angelo DeCesare, both of Toronto; nieces and nephews, Joan (Bruce) Ollila, Larry (Gerrie) Dalesio, Raymond (Marlene) Penna, Joseph Penna, Jamie Penna, Janet Penna and Elaine Flaten; sister-in-law Mildred Penna. Visitation for Helen will be held on Saturday Sept. 6, 2014 from 10:30 am until the time of Helen's Service at 12:30 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Father Thomas Vennetti will celebrate her Service and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
