James M. Kenny

James M. Kenny, 71, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH.

Jim was born August 25, 1943 in Steubenville, son of the late William F. and Evelyn Freeman Kenny.

He was a member of Steubenville Country Club, retired from Weirton-Steel Corp. where he was Superintendent of Transportation and he was currently employed as a Sales Rep. for Rotating Equipment in New Middletown, OH.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, William ‘Bill’ Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Kenny.

Jim leaves behind his wife, Marilyn A. (Miller) Kenny, whom he married Oct. 11, 1962; his sons, James M. (Melissa) Kenny, Jr. of Toronto and Michael J. Kenny of Wagram, NC; his daughter, Denell M. (John) Kenny-Vadala of Hubbard, OH; his brother, Daniel P. Kenny of Texas. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, Jessica Rudder, Danielle Ortman, Kayla, Tyler and Trevor Kenny, John and Christopher Vadala and his great-granddaughter Kierra and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held for Jim on Wednesday, May 20 from 3-6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. There will be a memorial blessing service at 6pm with Fr. Jack McCoy officiating.
