Margery E. (Dudley) Grimm

April 22, 1934 ~ December 4, 2017 (age 83) 83 Years Old

Margery E. Grimm, 83, a longtime resident of Toronto, OH (Costonia) passed peacefully on December 4, 2017 surrounded by loved ones at Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center, she left this life to be with our Heavenly Father.

 

Margery was born on April 22, 1934 in Bethel, Maine and later moved to Bangor, ME where she graduated from Bangor high school in 1952. Fiercely talented, she went on to study Grand Opera for 3 years under the direction of Professor William Cupp of Boston University. She then moved to Springfield, MA where she continued her studies for another year. At the age of 23 she was offered additional training in New York with a promising future professionally.

 

Margery decided her true heart was to marry and have a large family since she was an only child. So in 1956, she married the love of her life. The couple moved to Toronto where they would spend the next 57 years together.

 

Margery retired from Sears in August of 1992. Intelligent and independent, she quickly worked her way up the corporate ladder, serving as the Installation Manager for 15 of the 20 years she was employed. 

 

Margery was a member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church. Combining her talent and love for Jesus Christ, she directed both the adult and children’s choir at Center Chapel United Methodist Church prior to the church merging with Bell Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Ladies of the Moose in Steubenville.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Madeline (Brink) Dudley, her loving husband, Robert E. Grimm and an infant grandson.

 

She is survived by 4 children; 3 sons Michael (Cathy) Grimm of Bloomingdale OH, Robert A. Grimm, of Minerva, OH, Ronald (Rose Mary) Grimm, of Wintersville, OH and daughter Lynda (Michael) Sage of Akron, OH, as well as 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 am-12:00 pm at J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Toronto, OH. Her Funeral will immediately follow at 12 noon officiated by Rev. Emily Grimm. Burial will follow at Highland Hills Cemetery.
