Paul J Kondik

Paul J. Kondik, 87, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Oct. 22, 2014 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

He was born Oct. 13, 1927 in Weirton, WV, son of the late John and Mary Krischak Kondik.

Paul was retired from Ohio Edison Toronto Plant, where he had worked in the lab. He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 and was an avid Notre Dame fan.

Paul served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corp.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by six brothers, John, Steven, Andrew, Michael, Rev. Father David Joseph Kondik and Frank Kondik, also by two sisters, Ann Slowikowski and Mary Petrelle.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Dolores C. (Stone) Kondik whom he married on May 24, 1952; his son Larry Kondik of Toronto, OH and his daughter Carol

(Larry) Starr of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, Megan Starr, Mallory (Joshua) DeVore, Meredith Starr, Brandon (Nikki) Kondik, Erica (Chuck) Moore and two great-grandchildren Brian and Holly.

A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Saturday Oct. 25, 2014 at 11 am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church 1225 N. River Ave. in Toronto. Visitation will take place at the church from 10 am until time of the mass. Father Thomas Vennitti will Celebrate Paul’s mass and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family.

Full Military honors will be conducted by the Toronto American Legion Post # 86 following the mass.

Paul’s arrangements are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
