Richard W. 'Dick' Bradley

Richard W. ‘Dick’ Bradley, 79, of Jewett, OH, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 17, 2017.

Dick was born Nov. 10, 1937 in Watertown, NY, son of the late, Lester and Marjorie (Warner) Bradley.

He went on to serve his country in the US Marine Corp. as a Gunny Sgt. He made his commitment to serve his country as his career. Dick earned numerous medals for his two tours in the Vietnam War.

Dick was also a former Chief of Police and Water Superintendent in Jewett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald ‘Donny’ Skeen; one great-grandchild, one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Norma J. (Skeen) Bradley whom he married Aug 2, 1989; daughters, Denise Sandella of West Haven, CT and Deborah (Mitch) Chrostek of New Haven, CT; his son, Roy Skeen of New Haven, CT; his eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; his nieces, Valerie McKay of Providence, RI and Carlotta Furhman of Fairfield, MT; his nephew, Billy Collins of Providence, RI.

Dick will be missed by his military friend and advocate, Jim Thompson USMC, who the family will forever be grateful to for his devotion to ensure our dad and husband received his full benefits and medals.  

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 22 at 1 pm at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Bloomingdale, OH. Visitation will be held from 11 am til time of service. Pastor John Oliver will officiate and burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Tri-State Marine Corp. Honor Guard.
