Shirley M. (Morgan) Ogden, 79, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday March 19, 2015 at her home.

 

Shirley was born July 7, 1935 in Smithfield, daughter of the late, Edward and Mae (Martin) Morgan.

 

She was retired from the former St. John’s Hospital in Steubenville, where she was director of medical records.

 

Shirley was a member of the Smithfield Homemakers, the Smithfield Rebecca Lodge and was a graduate of Smithfield High School.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Ogden Sr., in 2005.

 

Surviving is her son, Donald G. (Marianne) Ogden Jr. of Steubenville, OH; her daughter, Diana Eakle of Smithfield; three grandchildren, Gene Grim Jr. and Heather Grim both of Smithfield, and Jenna Ogden of Steubenville; three great-grandchildren, Shiane, Seth and Nick; her two sisters, Genevieve ‘Nook’ Fristick of Mingo Jct., OH and Edith Morgan of FL; several nieces and nephews along with many friends. She will be sadly missed by all.

 

Visitation for Shirley will be held on Sunday March 22, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc., 107 Hill St. in Smithfield. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10 am at the funeral home. Pastor Mike Renforth will officiate her service and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, OH.
