Angelo Silvestri, 88, of Rayland, OH, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2018 at his home.
Angelo was born July 19, 1929 in Rayland, OH, son of the late Louis and Mary (Barbarini) Silvestri.
He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as an Operator in the Boiler Dept. Angelo was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale, OH.
Angelo was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in the Korean War. He was also a beekeeper and loved farming.
In addition to his parents, Angelo was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Silvestri.
Angelo leaves behind his wife, Eileen (Kitlak) Silvestri whom he married April 14, 1956; his four daughters, Korene Silvestri of Hopedale, OH, Toni (Geno) Zuccaro of Burgettstown, PA, Dawn (Rodney) Raimonde of NC and Stacey (Gary) Verhovec of Rayland. He also is survived by his nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, Mar. 13 from 3 – 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH with a Vigil Service at 6:30 pm. Additional viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:15 am til time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10 am at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale. Msgr. John Kolesar will celebrate the Mass and burial will follow in New Alexandria Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion. www.jefosterfh.com.
