Charles W. ‘Flap’ Walker, 71, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2019 in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Chuck was born Sept. 1, 1948 in East Liverpool, OH, son of the late Charles L. and Grace (Cook) Walker.
Chuck was a loving husband of 46 years to his wife Karen. a proud father of his two sons, Justin and Nate, and a loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Claire.
He was a 1968 graduate of Toronto High School and an honorary member of every class that followed. He was an avid supporter of Toronto High School Athletics and he loved his Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Chuck was a member of the USW Local 2911 in Weirton. He was a retired Loader with the Weirton Steel Corp. where he worked for 37 years.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his infant sister and his brother, Maurice E. Walker.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Karen L. (Minnick) Walker whom he married Oct. 27, 1973; his two sons, Justin (Alaina) Walker of Cincinnati, OH, and Nate (Chrissy) Walker of Granite Bay, CA; his granddaughter, Claire Walker, and his sister, Marilyn Jane Owens of Toronto.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, Nov. 21 from 3 – 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Additional viewing will be held on Friday from 10 am to the time of his funeral service at 11 am. Deacon Thomas ‘Bo’ Graham will officiate, and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family.
