Craig A. Martaus

Craig A. Swearingen Martaus, 34, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday July 8, 2018 in the East Liverpool Hospital ER as a result of motorcycle accident.

Craig was born July 3, 1984 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Daniel J. Martaus and Shirley A. (Swearingen) Martaus who survives.

He was a union member of the Teamsters Local #92 out of Canton, OH, where he worked as a truck driver. Craig was also a Vol. Firefighter with the Toronto Vol. Fire Dept. and he was a member of the Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles.

In addition to his father, Craig was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Martaus and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Catherine Swearingen.

Craig leaves behind his wife, Angela M. (Ensell) Martaus whom he married May 16, 2015; his son and daughter, Blaine and Keirstin; his mother Shirley; his brothers Joey (Joelle) Martaus and their newborn baby, Grayson of Wheeling, WV and Chris Martaus and his fiancé Kristin of Toronto; his paternal grandmother, Doris Martaus of Toronto; his niece, Ryann Ensell and nephew Zane DeFrank, both of Toronto.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, July 12 from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. The Toronto Vol. Fire Dept. will have a service for Craig at 7:45 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the funeral home to benefit Craig’s family left behind.
