Daniel E. ‘Red’ Weidger, 82, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 in the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Dan was born Jan. 22, 1937 in Toronto, son of the late Homer W. and Zetta (McKnight) Weidger.
He was retired from Valley Converting in Toronto where he worked as a Beater Operator. Dan was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto.
In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta Jo Weidger in 2009, his son, Jeffery Alan Weidger in 1969, his sisters, Betty, Zelma, Virginia and Juanita and his brother, Homer, Jr.
Dan leaves behind his son, Ed & Rita Weidger of Toronto; his three grandchildren who called him Pappy, Jennifer and husband Chris Brown and Danielle Weidger both of Toronto and Jeffery Weidger of Columbus, OH; his two great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Jaylee and Callie Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where his funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 am. Rev. Tyler Bayless will officiate and burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
