Dolores C. (Stone) Kondik

Dolores C. (Stone) Kondik, 89, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Jan. 8, 2020.

Dolores was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late William and Catherine (Nevlis) Stone.

She was retired from Toronto City Schools, where she worked as a Secretary for many years.

Dolores was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto, the Catholic Women’s Club and she was a 1948 graduate of Steubenville Catholic Central High School.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Kondik on Oct. 22, 2014 and two sisters, Frances Sunyoger and Margaret Clarke.

Surviving is her son, Larry Kondik of Toronto; her daughter, Carol (Larry) Starr of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, Megan Starr, Mallory (Joshua) DeVore, Meredith Starr, Brandon (Nikki) Kondik and Erica (Chuck) Moore; four great-grandchildren, Brian, Holly, Ellie and Stone.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at 10 am at St. Joseph Church 1225 N. River Ave. in Toronto. Dolores’ family will receive friends in the rear of the church from 9 to 10 am. Father Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville.
