Jean Henderson, 90, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2019 at the Wyngate Senior Assisted Living Community in Weirton, WV.
Jean was born July 30, 1928 in Toronto, daughter of the late James and Mildred (Heckathorne) Grindle.
Jean was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Toronto. She was also a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class and the Faithful Followers. She was a former member of the Toronto O.E.S. Lodge and the Sunrise Senior Citizens Club.
In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Henderson who passed away on May 13, 2015; her two sisters, Evelyn Holmes and Ruth Ann Roach and by her five brothers, Jim, Bill, Thomas, Harry and Bob Grindle.
Surviving are her two daughters, Janet E. Blaschak of Columbiana, OH and Brenda K. Cottrell of Toronto; four grandchildren, Kim (Gary) Cook, David (Tracy) Jones, Todd (Lisa) Cottrell, Kristina Blaschak and five great-grandchildren.
Jean’s funeral service will be held Sunday April 28, 2019 at 3 pm at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. There will be visitation on Sunday from 12 noon until 3 pm. Rev. Kevin Rinkes will officiate and her burial will take place in Toronto Union Cemetery.
