Jimmy Lee Pinnell, Sr., 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 in the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
Jimmy was born Nov. 25, 1938 in Vinton, OH, son of the late Howard and Edna (Chasteen) Pinnell.
He was a retired truck driver with Weir-Cove Trucking. Jimmy was a Veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the Teamsters Local and he loved to golf, bowl and drive truck.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Hughson) Pinnell, sister Brenda Kay Pinnell, brother Howard Eugene Pinnell, son-in-law, Keith Murvine and grandson John Tarr.
Jimmy leaves behind his daughter, Pamela Murvine and son, Jimmy Pinnell, Jr., both of Toronto, his daughter, Roberta Pinnell of Wintersville, OH; his two sisters, Shirley (Ron) Roush of Wichita, KS and Linda (Thomas) McCarthy of Havelock, NC; his brother, Robert (Vicki) Pinnell of Weirton, WV; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 3 – 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where his funeral service will follow at 7 pm. Ed Rudiger will officiate and his burial will be held at the convenience of his family in Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
