Josephine M. 'Jo' (Grimm) Landis

Josephine M. ‘Jo’ Landis, 82 of Wintersville, OH, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2019 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.

Jo was born Dec. 6, 1936 in Port Homer, OH, daughter of the late Charles and Haley (Hood) Grimm.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Hammondsville, OH.

Jo loved participating in the Relay For Life as a member of the Steppin for Sisters Team.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Grimm, her sister Stella Harris, granddaughter Jamie Rose and son-in-law, Mike Rice.

Jo leaves behind her husband, Bill Landis whom she married Nov. 1, 1952; her five daughters, Cathy Dyer of Florida, Karen Springer of Richmond, OH, Debbie Rice and Bob Millhorn of Toronto, Judy and Nate Fellows of Steubenville and Lori and John Harris of Steubenville; 32 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 4 – 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 am. Pastor Kathy Thomas will officiate and burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
