Mark Hoobler Obituary

 

Mark Hoobler, 66, of Hammondsville, OH, passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

 

Mark was born Jan. 16, 1953 in Landstuhl, Germany. He was the son of the late William ‘Bill’ and Ruth (Crook) Hoobler.

 

He owned and operated Hoobler Contracting specializing in custom built homes. Mark and his wife founded Mighty God Ministries. He worked with the Navajo Indians in Arizona and he traveled to Africa for 19 years spending time in Kenya and the DRC. In Africa he went on preaching crusades and helped build and start up Bible Colleges.

 

Mark also had a passion for coaching. He coached basketball at Stanton High School and Edison South and he also coached Stanton High School Boy’s Track.

 

Mark leaves behind his wife, Mary Ann (Furbee) Hoobler whom he married Feb 26, 1982; his daughter, Sarah Hoobler of Wilmington, NC and his son, Neil (Ashley) Hoobler of Hammondsville; his two grandchildren, Emma and Logan Hoobler; his two sisters, Nancy (Bill) Miller of Salem, OH and Mary Ann (Mark) Prosko of Hanoverton, OH.

 

Family and friends will be received Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 4 – 7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH where his funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am. Pastor Mike Ingole will officiate and burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

 

Mark’s family would like to thank Dr. Rahman and his staff, nurse Jennifer McCourt and Charity Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during his illness.
