Mary Beth Lewis, 64, of Toronto, OH, passed away on Sunday Aug. 5, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
Mary Beth was born Jan. 29, 1954 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Harold and Susan (Borecky) Lewis.
She was retired from UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where she was the Post-op Liver Transplant Coordinator.
Mary Beth was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Toronto. She was a 1972 graduate of Toronto High School and the 1972 Homecoming Queen.
Mary Beth graduated from the Riverside Methodist School of Nursing in Columbus, OH and started her career at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She also worked at the former St. John’s Hospital in Steubenville before working for UPMC at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, Mary Beth was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Lewis who passed in April 2008.
She is survived by her brother, John (Judy) Lewis of Toronto; her two sisters, Kathy ‘Tootsie’ (Stanley) Jessic of Holidaysburg, PA and Regina (Lee) Churchman of Toronto. She also leaves behind 9 nieces and nephews: Matthew Lewis, Joshua (Sherry) Lewis both of Toronto, Peter (Sabrina) Jessic of Holidaysburg, PA, Stephen Jessic of CO, Jason (Jennifer) Lewis of Charlotte, NC, Michael (Sara) Lewis and Morgan Lewis both of St. Louis, MO, Grayson (Michelle) Churchman of Westerville, OH and Ellie (Lucas) Fox of New Philadelphia, OH.
Family and friends will be received Thursday Aug. 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home 701 Findley St. in Toronto. Additional viewing will take place on Friday at the Cornerstone Church (Fifth and Clark St.) from 10 am til time of her service at 11 am. Pastor Raul Diaz will officiate and burial will follow in the Toronto Union Cemetery.
