Nancy L. Lewis, 86, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 at her home.
Nancy was born May 20, 1932 in Toronto, daughter of the late Robert S. and Ina V. (Cusick) McKelvey.
She was a former teacher with Toronto City Schools. Nancy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto where she was a Deacon, a former Elder, PWA member, Choir member and volunteer with Chi-Rho.
Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Toronto High School and she was the first ever homecoming queen. She was on the Board of Directors with the Toronto High School Alumni Association and Martha Manor. Nancy volunteered as a dispatcher with TEMS, the Urban Mission and the Toronto Salvation Army.
Nancy leaves behind her husband, Richard L. Lewis, whom she married Aug. 14, 1952; her son, Roger (Marsha) Lewis of Toronto, daughter, Jill (Jeff) Davies of Wadsworth, OH, daughter, Christine (Joseph) Blasiole of Uniontown, OH and son, Brad (Deborah) Lewis of McDonough, GA; her brothers, Bob (Jan) McKelvey of Circleville, OH, Larry (Myra) McKelvey of Wadsworth and Joe (Terri) McKelvey of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 12 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto with Rev. Tyler Bayless officiating.
Nancy requested no flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church or the Toronto Salvation Army.
Arrangements for Nancy are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
