Philip Swick Obituary

Philip John Swick, 68, of Toronto, OH, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

 

Phil was born April 9, 1950 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Thomas and Charlotte (Chilenski) Swick.

 

He was retired from the Weirton Steel Corp. where he worked as a Millwright. Phil’s memberships included: Toronto Fraternal Order of Eagles, Toronto American Legion and the Weirton Steel 25-Year Club. He was also a Vol. Fireman for the Toronto Fire Dept. for 20 years.

 

In addition to his parents, Phil was preceded in death by his infant son, Timothy Joe who passed in 1975, his sister, Marcia Bauer and his brother, James Swick.

 

Phil leaves behind his wife, Beverly (Skeeles) Swick whom he married July 14, 1972; his two daughters, Kelly (Mike) Russell of Cape Coral, FL and Kristin (Jason) Bertrand of Park City, UT; his brother, Greg (Miriam) Swick of Toronto; his four grandchildren, Sydney and Max Russell and Bryce and Brett Bertrand and fifteen nieces and nephews.

 

Family and friends will be received Thursday, June 28 from 12 – 2 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home followed by a graveside committal service at the Toronto Union Cemetery.
