Richard L. Lewis, 90, of Toronto, OH, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
Rich was born Nov. 6, 1928 in Toronto, son of the late William and Ruth (Burns) Lewis.
Rich was a Pharmacist and the ‘Prez’ of the former Toronto Pharmacy. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto where he was an Elder, a Deacon, a member of the choir and a volunteer with Chi-Ro. Rich also took many mission trips with his children thru their churches.
He was a 1947 graduate of Toronto High School. Rich was a former member of the Toronto Board of Education and the Booster Club. He was a former volunteer with TEMS in Toronto. Rich also volunteered with Valley Hospice and was involved with Dapper Dan.
Rich was a Veteran of the US Army stationed in Japan working in a hospital during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy L. (McKelvey) Lewis who passed Jan. 9, 2019.
Rich leaves behind his children, Roger (Marsha) Lewis of Toronto, Jill (Jeff) Davies of Wadsworth, OH, Christine (Joseph) Blasiole of Uniontown, OH and Brad (Deborah) Lewis of McDonough, Ga; eleven grandchildren and five spouses, four great-grandchildren and one on the way.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 27 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church in Toronto with Rev. Tyler Bayless officiating.
