Robert E. Wymer

Robert E. ‘Bob’ Wymer, 90, of Toronto, OH, passed away peacefully Friday July 28, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born Jan. 7, 1927 in Toronto, son of the late Clarence and Nellie (Armstrong) Wymer.

He was retired from the Ohio Edison Stratton Power Plant in 1989 where he was a Control Room Operator. Bob was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Toronto and he also volunteered at the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Toronto.

Bob was a Veteran of the US Army having served his country in WWII.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother Clifford Wymer and his two sisters, Dorothy Wymer and Hazel Wilson.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Dorothy (Colvin) Wymer whom he married May 3, 1972; his daughter, Joann S. (Patrick) Maxwell of Toronto; his granddaughter, Miranda Maxwell; three half-brothers, Clarence, Wayne and Richard Wymer all of East Liverpool, OH; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Holmes Crowder of E. Liverpool and Wilma Beasley of Miss. and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, July 30 from 1-3 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. His funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Raul Diaz officiating. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery with Military Honors being presented by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
