Theodore C. ‘Buzz’ Cooper, Jr., 70, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2019 at his home.
Buzz was born Sept. 13, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Theodore, Sr. and Jane (Burgy) Cooper.
He was retired from Arcelor-Mittal in Weirton, with 45 years, of service as a marker and tractor operator. Buzz was a member of the USW Local 2911 in Weirton and the 25-year Club. He was an avid Steeler and Pirate fan and he enjoyed to fish and ride his motorcycle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Furbee and his brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Janice Furbee.
Buzz leaves behind his wife, Cynthia K. (Furbee) Cooper, whom he married Aug. 17, 1979; his sons, Justin (Megan) Cooper of Cincinnati, OH and Theodore C. (Deborah) Cooper, III of Eatonton, GA; his daughter, Michelle (Bill) Myers of Milledgeville, GA; his four granddaughters, Lindsey Cooper, Megan Cooper, Macey Burnley and Brooke Myers; his step-mother, Jean Cooper of Toronto; his father-in-law, Delbert Furbee of Hammondsville, OH; his brothers-in-law, Gene (Stephanie) Furbee of Wellsville, OH and JR (Jennifer) Furbee of Hammondsville.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Dec. 1 from 2 – 5 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. His funeral service will be Monday at 11 am at the funeral home. Rev. Jeff Proya will officiate and burial will follow in the Hammondsville Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
