Wade H. Steele, Jr., 82, of Toronto, OH, passed away Wednesday Nov. 28 in the Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.
Wade was born May 30, 1936 in Toronto, son of the late Wade, Sr. and Garnetta (Tarr) Steele.
He was retired from the Timet Titanium Metals Corp. in Toronto, with 38 years of service, in the Maintenance Dept. Wade’s current and past memberships included the Safety Committee at Timet, St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto, the Toronto American Legion Post #86, the Toronto Lions Club, Toronto Booster Club and he was a Reservist in the US Marines.
After retirement, Wade joined the staff at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home working for nearly 10 more years.
Wade leaves behind his wife, Dolores A. ‘DoDo’ (Yanklowski) Steele whom he married Oct. 15, 1955; his two daughters, Rosellen (Mick) Adams of Toronto and Debby (Chandler) Mazeall of Hartville, OH; his son, Tom (Mary Beth) Steele of Canfield, OH; his four grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Haubach, Michael Adams, Carrie Steele and Christina (Dave) Milne; his sister, Lucille Abbott of Arlington, TX; his many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 from 10 am to noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto followed by his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 12:30 pm at St. Francis Catholic Church in Toronto. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate and burial will follow in Island Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to: the Toronto Alumni Association, St. Francis Catholic Church or Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Condolences may be offered on our website www.jefosterfh.com.
Wade was a valuable asset to our family business. He came to work every day with a smile, he enjoyed greeting people, helping on all the services, being around the guys and fixing anything. He was just as much a part of our family as we were a part of his. We, along with his family, will miss him. – The Fosters.
