William D. 'Bill' Householder

William D. ‘Bill’ Householder, 89, of Stratton, OH, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 at his home.

Bill was born July 21, 1929 in Empire, OH, son of the late Benjamin H. Householder and Bertha (Keenan) Householder York.

He was retired from the Toronto Paper Board Co. where he was a Machine Tender. Bill was a Veteran of the Army Air Corp. having served his country in WWII.

Bill’s membership include the Empire United Methodist Church, The Toronto American Legion Post #86, Stratton V.F.D. and he also served on the Stratton Village Council.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Johnston) Householder who passed in Jan. of 2006, his step-father Lemuel York, his brother Ben Householder and his three sisters, Virginia Dobson, Joyce York and Dorothy Thomas.

Bill leaves behind his two daughters, Kelly Householder of Stratton and Billie (Larry) Harding of Cadiz, OH; three grandchildren, William ‘Andy’ (Kyla) Prosko of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Charleigh Harding and Lane Harding both of Cadiz; his two additional daughters, Karen Willis and Patty Baker and their families.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 – 6 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto where his funeral service will be held Monday at 2 pm. Pastor Paul Giffin will officiate and burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Toronto with Military Honors provided by the Toronto American Legion Honor Guard.
