REUNITED TOGETHER AGAIN
Addison Burke Davis, 93, of Toronto, OH, passed away at his home Friday Oct. 23, 2020.
Burke was born Feb. 13, 1927 in Norton, VA, son of the late Addison C. and Amanda (Stone) Davis.
He was retired from the Ohio Edison Sammis Plant in Stratton, OH, where he worked as a control room operator.
Burke was a member of the Toronto American Legion Post #86 and he served his country during WWII in the US Navy.
Burke was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Shook) Davis, who passed Nov. 7, 2008. Burke and Betty were married Oct. 6, 1951. Also, by his son Roger in 2018; his brother William Davis in 2010, and his sister Nellie Combs in 2012.
Burke is survived by his son, David (Janice) Davis of Columbus, OH; his daughter, Marla (Tim) Yeager of Toronto, with whom he resided, and his daughter-in-law, Sherry Davis of Toronto. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Steve, Eric, and Cody (Paulette) Davis, Amanda (James) Cooper, Aaron (Kayla) Mosti and Alison (Spencer) Wilson; ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way, one great-great-grandson and his cat Rascal.
Burkes wishes were to be cremated. A private family inurnment, with his wife, will be held at Toronto Union Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto.
