AgnesA.Gabis, 83of Toronto, Ohio passed away Monday Jan. 30, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.She was born Jan 13, 1923 in Steubenville, daughter of the late Stanley andStella Pawlowski Yoka. She was a retired Elementary Teacher, teaching in the Edison Local School District for 23 years. She is a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, the C.W.C. of the church, other church involvement includes, RCIA, Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Adoration Chapel, Prayer chain, committee for the needy; also a volunteer for Valley Hospice and the Salvation Army.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Gabis in 1986. Surviving are seven sons; Dr. Damien Gabis and his wife Rita of Valparaiso, Ind., Dr. Joseph Gabis and his wife Barbara of Wheeling, W. Va., Attorney Mark Gabis and his wife Terrie of Owensboro, KY., Dr. Jerome Gabis and his wife Carol of Cincinnati, Matthew Gabis and his wife Cathy of Cold Springs, Ky., Paul Gabis and his wife Linda also of Cold Springs, Ky., Dr. John Gabis and his wife Janine of Chillicothe,Two Daughters; Mary Lou Rawson ofNew Somerset,and Margaret Ann (Paul) Parker of Colorado Springs, CO.Three sisters; Helen ( Bill ) Science of Toronto, Theresa ( Leo ) Karpinski of Steubenville, and Dolores ( John ) Reszke of Bloomingdale, Ill.24 Grandchildrenand13 Great-Grandchildren.Friends and family may call on Wednesday2-4 and 6-9 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto; where blessing services will be on Thursday morning at9:30 am. followed by Funeral Liturgy with mass at 10:00 am. at St. Francis Church on Findley St. in Toronto. Msgr. Kurt Kemo will be the Celebrant and Fr. Ignatius Harrington will be the Concelebrant. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
