AlexanderFidak,82 ofToronto, Ohio passed away Sunday March 26, 2006 in the Lancia Villa Royale Nursing Home in Steubenville.He was born March 14, 1924 in Wolf Run, Ohio; son of the late Joseph and Mary Rodak Fidak.He was a retired furnace operator at the former Satralloy Co. in (Goulds) Mingo Jct., Ohio, was a member of St.Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto, and was an avid Toronto baseball fan.Alexander served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II.In addition to his parents, Alexander was preceded in death by his wife; Bertha N. (Hinkle) Fidak in 2003, his brother Michael Fidak and an infant sister.Surviving are his son Alan and his wife Donna Fidak of Toronto, his Grandson Blair Fidak of Stratton, four sisters; Mary (Tom) Kovalesky of Steubenville, Irene Shimmel, Helen Hood, and Joyce (Nick) Tye all of Toronto, five brothers; Joseph of Steubenville, John of Calf., Andrew (Mary Ann) Fidak of Toronto, Bob (Millie) Fidak of Wintersville, and Paul (Charlotte) Fidak of Florida. Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. at the J. E. FOSTER FUNERAL HOMES, INC.,701 Findley St., Toronto; where services will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 am. Father Andrew Chura and Rev. Alvin Talkington will officiate the service. Burial will follow in TorontoUnionCemetery. Full military graveside honors will be conducted by the Toronto American Legion Post #86.
