Obituary

Alice R. Barbarossa,67, of Smithfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning Aug. 1, 2007 in the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.She was born May 13, 1940 in Martins Ferry, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Margaret Fabisick Kovalchik. Alice is presently serving as the Smithfield Village Clerk, and over the years Alice has worked at the following businesses, she was secretary for the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Steubenville, worked for Borden Office Equipment in Steubenville, and worked for several years for the Merkel Nationwide Insurance Agency in Smithfield. She is Catholic by faith.In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by an Infant brother. She is survived by; her husband Carlo Barbarossa of home, two sons, Brian of Piney Fork and David (Brenda) Barbarossa of Rayland. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda Barbarossa. Additional family surviving, her mother-in-law LenaBarbarossa of Piney Fork, sister-in-law Cecelia Barbarossa of George's Run, sisters-inlaw and brothers-in-law, Theresa and Bob Cichon of Piney Fork and Rose and Rich Varagliotti of Toronto.Friends and family may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc., 107 Hill St.Smithfield; where services will be held on Saturday morning at 10:00 am. Msgr.
