Andrew David Dave Smith, Jr., 81 of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his home.

Dave was born Feb. 8, 1940 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Andrew David, Sr. and Anna M. (Rock) Smith.

He was retired from the Timet Corp. in Toronto, where he worked in the Sonic Testing Dept.

Dave was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church and he was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church both in Toronto. He had a life-long love for flying and being a part of Torontos Eddie Dew Memorial Airport. Dave also loved hunting and fishing with his family.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Frank Argentine.

Surviving is his wife, Donna J. (Argentine) Smith, whom he married Nov. 7, 1964; daughter, Erin (Andy) Carlier of Chester, WV; sister, Paula A. Smith of Cleveland, OH; two brothers, Robert (Jill) Smith of Toronto and Richard (Maryann) Smith of Wellsville, OH.

A private Funeral Mass will be held the at St. Francis Catholic Church for Daves family. Fr. Thomas Vennitti will celebrate, and burial will follow in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
