Andrew J. "Andy" Waligura 56, of Piney Fork, Ohio passed away on Saturday Nov. 26, 2005 in the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on Oct. 5, 1949 in Wheeling, W.Va., son of Josephine Matuska Waligura of Piney Fork who survives and the late Charles Waligura. Andy was retired from Weirton Steel Corp., where he worked in the wire gang and is presently employed by the General Welding Co. in Martins Ferry. Andy was a graduate of Wayne High School and received a Business Administration Degree from Franciscan University in Steubenville. He also taught Electrical Certification classes at Jefferson Community College and Weirton Steel Training Center. He was a member of the former St. Therese Catholic Church in Piney Fork, the Piney Fork American Legion, and was an active member of the Buckeye Local Touchdown Club; where he formerly served as their Treasurer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. In addition to his father Charles, Andy was preceded in death by his 1st. wife Patty Hornyak Waligura who passed away in Jan. of 2000. Surviving in addition to his mother Josephine, are his wife Annamarie Weber Waligura of home; his son Matthew and his wife Erica Waligura of Lancaster, Ohio; his grandson Lucas Waligura; a half brother, Charles Waligura of Rootstown, Ohio; Two step-daughters, Michelle ( Paul ) Joy and Karen Mako all of Darlington, Pa. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. at the J. E. FOSTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 107 Hill St. Smithfield; calling will also take place on Wednesday morning at St. Casimirs Catholic Church in Adena from 10:15 am. up til time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass which is at 11:00 am. Msgr. John Kolesar will be the celebrant. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove, Ohio. Full military burial honors will be conducted by the Piney Fork American Legion at the cemetery. Wake Service will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
