Obituary

Ann Marie (Krulcik) Grayzar, 90, of Smithfield, OH, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at a Place to Call Home Elderly Care in Strongsville, OH.

Ann was born March 16, 1935 in Smithfield, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Barnas) Krulcik. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Juliano and sister, Leona Zifzal.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of the St Therese and later the St Adalbert Catholic churches. She was active in the Catholic Women's Club; served on the Church Council; was a lector and Eucharistic Minister; participated in the Bible Study group; and in her younger years, was the church organist and in the choir. She lovingly brought Holy Communion and encouragement to the sick.

Ann was also a member of the Smithfield Historical Society, the Rosebud and Smithfield Garden Clubs, and the Cook Club. She worked for 25 years as a Bus Driver for Buckeye Local Schools until her retirement.

Ann loved life and embraced it to the fullest. She touched many with her kindness, compassion, generosity, and cheerful disposition. She put her heart and soul into everything she did.

Ann Marie was very involved in community service. She played a key role in organizing the Piney Fork Community Reunions, co-authored a book on Piney Fork genealogy, and provided assistance to homebound members of the community.

Her passion for flower gardening resulted in her receiving the Regional Outstanding Amateur Gardener Award from the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs as well as another for her garden photography.

Ann leaves behind two daughters, Connie Grayzar of Fairfax, Virginia, and Jennifer Grayzar of San Francisco, California; one sister, Patricia Dawson; one brother, Edward (Janey) Krulcik; a son-in-law, Paul Juliano; two grandchildren, Michael Juliano and Alexandria (Garrett) Ashbaugh; and three great grandchildren, Julian, Weston, and Callen Ashbaugh.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, June 15 from 3 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield. An additional viewing will also be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert Catholic Church in Dillonvale followed by a Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 11 a.m. Father William Cross will celebrate. Burial will follow at Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
