Anna J. Kovalchik, 96, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her home.Anna was born in Bradley, OH on March 3, 1911, daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Skopik) Svoboda.She was a member of the Smithfield Presbyterian Church and everyone that knew her knew that she was a very loving, kind and special person.In addition to her parents Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John Kovalchik whom she married on May 23, 1936.He passed away in 1972.She was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Joseph Svoboda; two nephews, James Svoboda Jr., and Robert Svoboda Sr.Anna is survived by her great nephew Robert Jr. and his wife Kim Svoboda and their two daughters, Sierra and Sommer from Dillionvale, all of whom cared for Anna over the past several years.She is also survived by her niece Rosetta "Dibbie" Svoboda of Dillionvale and sister-in-law Gladys Svoboda of Cleveland.She is also survived by many members of the Kovalchik family.Anna's family also wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers who helped care for her.Visitation for Anna will be held on Saturday evening, August 11 from 5-8pm at the J.E.
