Anna Mae “Jackie” Nelson, 102, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at the home of her daughter, in Weirton, WV.

Jackie was born December 14, 1923, in Burgettstown, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Clayboss) Kucera. Jackie was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Frank and George Kucera.

Jackie formerly served as the Activities Director at Lancia Nursing Home in Steubenville. She was also a member and Deacon of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her two sons, Robert “Bob” (Janet) Nelson of Toronto, OH, and David (Joanne) Nelson of White Lake, MI; her daughter, Cynthia Roush of Weirton: five grandchildren, Greg (Megan) Nelson, David (Lissette) Nelson, Magee (Tim) Humes, Shane (Elizabeth) Roush and Sean (Myranda) Roush, and ten great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto on Thursday, September 24, from 9 to 10 a.m. Jackie’s funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., officiated by Dee Kovach, with interment to follow at Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto.
