Anne DeNardi, 88, formerly of Smithfield, OH area passed away Thursday June 14, 2012 at the Carroll Health Care Center in Carrollton, OH.She was born in Hopedale, OH on March 2, 1924, daughter of the late Perrino (Pete) and Mary (Giacobbi) Santille. Anne was preceded in death by her husband August DeNardi, who passed away in 1972, two brothers, Raymond and Dean Santille and her sister Frances Harrah. Dairy farmers, Anne and August, were active in the Jefferson County Agricultural Community until they retired to the Piney Fork, OH area. Anne was a former member of the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation Women and an active member of the Piney Fork Presbyterian Church until she moved away from the area. Surviving is her son Roger and his wife Marlene DeNardi of Carrollton, OH; her daughter Diane Hodgson and her husband Howard of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Hellen O'Connell of Wheeling, WV; two brothers Eugene "Sam" and his wife Eleanor Santille of Hopedale, OH and Roger and his wife (Penny) Santille of Marengo, OH. Visitation for Anne will be on Sunday June 17, 2012 from 4-7 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, where services will be held on Monday at 11 am. Rev. Wilford Simeral will officiate her service and burial will follow in Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
