Barbara Jane Beveridge, 94, of Bloomingdale, OH, died Friday, August 9, 2024 at home. Bar, also commonly known as Aunt B, was a most compassionate sister, Aunt and friend to many.

She was born in Bloomingdale, OH, on November 11, 1929, to the late John R. and Margaret (Whitten) Beveridge.

Barbara retired after 40 plus years in 1996 as the Purchasing Director at Ohio Valley Hospital, which became Trinity Health System, and previously worked at Boich Coal Company. She was always willing to lend a helping hand or support to anyone in need, including animals of all kinds.

Bar is survived by sister Sandy (Bob) Mayerchak of Vermilion, OH, and sister-in-law Mary Jo Beveridge of Denison, TX. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by brothers, John (Jack) Beveridge, James (Jim) Beveridge, Thomas Beveridge, sisters Margie Fleming, Mary Alice Heaston, Dorothy Simmons, Patricia Barbai, and special friend Jerry A. Ice.

The family of Barbara Beveridge would like to extend their utmost, thank you to Barbara's caregivers, who cared for her so diligently the last four years of her life.

Arrangements are entrusted to the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield, OH, with viewing hours Saturday, Aug. 17 from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. A service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Mark Carpino with interment in the Northern Cemetery in Smithfield.
