Barbara L. Murvine, 80, of Toronto, OH (New Somerset), passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Barb was born Oct. 21, 1935 in Irondale, OH, daughter of the late Howard Minor.

She was a member of the New Somerset Christian Church and the Willing Workers Group of the church. Barb was also a very active member of the Irondale Eastern Stars and upon their consolidation she became a member of the Toronto Eastern Stars #215.

In addition to her father, Barb was preceded in death by her aunt and uncle who raised her, Virgil and Thelma Palmer; her brothers, Virgil, Ralph, Bob and Timothy Minor and Bill Palmer; her sister Mary and her son-in-law, Ed Hosey.

Barb leaves behind her husband, Donald whom she married July 7, 1956; her daughter, Darlene Hosey of Toronto and her son, Donald Keith (Pam) Murvine of New Somerset; her four brothers, John (Peg) Minor of Irondale, Dale (Sondra) Minor of E. Liverpool, Jerry (Kitsy) Minor of Mingo Jct. and Randy Minor of Irondale; her sister, Virginia Tharp of New Somerset; her four grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Rawson, Dee Rawson, John Tarr and Jeremy Murvine; her eight great-grandchildren, Maddie, Blaine, Meghan, Sydney, Amelia, Jack, Hailey and Zoey and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Her funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am at New Somerset Christian Church. Pastor Rob Minto will officiate and burial will follow in New Somerset Cemetery. Additional visitation will be held at the church from 10am on Thursday til time of service at 11. There will be an Eastern Star Service Wednesday evening at 7pm at the funeral home.
