Obituary
Barbara V. Smith, 85, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday March 8, 2017 in Weirton Medical Center in Weirton, WV.
Barb was born Jan. 4, 1932 in Mt. Pleasant, OH, daughter of the late Donald and Jeanette (Fitzgerald) Fields.
She was a member of the former St. Paul A.M.E. church in Smithfield and the Smithfield American Legion Womens Auxiliary. Barb was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Orville Smith in 1978; her son, Claude Edward Smith in 2002 and her daughter, Sandra Kay Smith in 2015.
Surviving is her son, Scott Lee (Sheila) Smith of Wintersville, OH; two grandchildren, Claude Edward Smith Jr. and Shaleeta A. Smith and by two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Corey Smith.
Following Barbs wishes she will be cremated and burial will be held at the convenience of her family.
