Obituary

Betty Jean Davis, 79, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Friday November 7, 2008 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born January 24, 1929, in Stratton, Ohio; daughter of the late Russell and Maude Hamilton Shook. She was also preceded in death by two infant brothers and her brother Bob Shook. After graduating from Toronto High School, Betty pursued her passion for horses and traveled with the White Horse Ranch in Naper, Nebraska. She was known as 'Sunflower Sue' and performed trick riding throughout the United States and Canada. Betty was a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Surviving are her husband of 57 years Addison Burke Davis of the home, two sons, Roger (Sherry) Davis of Toronto and David (Janice) Davis of Columbus, Ohio. One daughter Marla (Tim) Yeager of Toronto, one brother Tom (Janet) Shook of Toronto, two sisters Shirley McFadden and Sharon (Ken) Hayes all of Toronto. Six grandchildren, Steve (Carmen) Davis of Richmond, Eric and Cody Davis of Toronto; Alison Davis of Columbus, Amanda Mosti of Toronto and Aaron Mosti of the home and 3 great-grandchildren. At Betty's request, services and burial will be at the convenience of her family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the J. E.
