Betty Rose Gill, 92, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday May 6, 2022, in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Betty was born May 10, 1929, in Mingo Jct., OH, daughter of the late Homer and Elizabeth (Coffman) Wayt.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Gill, Sr., who passed away July 26, 2010, and by her son, James C. Gill.

Betty and her husband Sam were former owners of the Colonial Florist in Toronto.

Surviving is her daughter, Sandra E. Blischak of VA; son, Samuel M. Gill, Jr. of Wintersville, OH; seven grandchildren, James (Melissa) Gill of TN, Darcy (David) Dildine of FL, Jennifer (Jason) Swickard of Toronto, Sonja (Eric) Lancaster of Richmond, OH, Leslie (Ryan) Blischak of VA, Samantha (Elliott) Hellock of Richmond, and Andrew (Ellen) Blischak of MD; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 12, 2022, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am. Rev. Frank Rogers will officiate, and burial will follow in the Richmond Union Cemetery. www.jefosterfh.com
