Betty J. Gross, 86, of Toronto, Ohio passed away Thursday March 8, 2012 in the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville, Ohio. Betty was born Sept. 19, 1925 in Lancaster, Ohio, daughter of the late Roy and Anna Megale Hummel. She was formerly employed by the Singer Co. and worked as a sales clerk at the former Hub of Steubenville. She was Lutheran by faith and was a former member of various senior groups in the area. Surviving are her son Harold W. (Judy) Gross of Carnegie, Pa., and one granddaughter Jessica. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Gross, Sr. in 1992 and by two sisters and one brother. Visitation for Betty will be held on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm., at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home, Inc. 701 Findley St. Toronto, Ohio. At Betty's request a graveside service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am. at Island Creek Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Funeral Home by 10 am on Monday. Rev.
