IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Camille
Miller
May 3, 1958 – January 2, 2025
Camille Miller of Toronto, OH, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, surrounded by loving family. She was diagnosed with end stage breast cancer in 2011 and bravely lived with the disease for 14 years, having had exceptional response to various treatments over that time.
Born on May 3, 1958, in Steubenville, OH, Camille was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose Antolini Gryszka. She was also preceded in death by two nephews, Eric Jr. and Bryant Gryszka.
Camille was a 1976 graduate of Wintersville High School and a 1987 alum of Jefferson Technical Institute. She was a prolific flower gardener whose yard every year burst with blooms from the earliest spring until fall frost.
Camille liked trying new things and traveling to new places. She enjoyed delicious food and desserts, autobiographies, genealogy, family gatherings, walking, visiting botanical gardens, and swimming with her senior friends, "the pool people", at Toronto Pool in the summer.
Years before the invention of social media, Camille was taking photographs and making video recordings to mark celebratory occasions and milestones in the lives of both sides of her extended family.
Camille leaves behind her best friend and partner in marriage, her loving and faithful husband, Tom, whom she married in 1989; her son Mark, who was the light of her life; treasured stepson and his wife Bill and Caryn Miller, of Gahana, OH, and adored grandchildren, Josie and Liam, for whom she was honored to be called "Granny".
She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Eric Gryszka of Athens, OH, Christine Aumiller of Montgomery, AL, Redora (Ronnie) Stillwagon and George Gryszka of Steubenville, Mary (Dave) Sagun of Wintersville and Nick Gryszka of Weirton. In addition, she is survived by sisters-in-law Debbie McCullough and Barb Gillis and brother-in-law Jerry Miller as well as many nieces and nephews, all who were very near and dear to her heart.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christie Hilton and her oncology team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, the Gables Care Center in Hopedale, Ohio, and Valley Hospice at Trinity West, in Steubenville.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. A committal service at the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Valley Hospice 10686 State Route 150 Rayland, OH 43943. www.jefosterfh.com
