Carl A. Nuck Smith, 68, of Smithfield, OH, passed away Wednesday May 5, 2021 in the ER at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Nuck was born Sept. 20, 1952 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Charles A. and Dolores G. (Stewart) Smith.

He was retired from the Blast Furnace Dept. at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mingo Plant.

Nuck loved cars and playing the lottery. He loved people and he never met a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Nuck was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon in 2003.

Surviving is his wife, Cheryl L. (Elliott) Smith whom he married Sept. 22, 2000; daughter, Carla Smith of Smithfield; two sons, Anthony (Tiffany) Smith of Pickerington, OH and Marcus (Tenika) Smith of Reynoldsburg, OH; sister Charlene Smith of Smithfield; two brothers, Charles Otis Smith of Aetnaville, OH and Rev. Craig (Debbie) Smith of Mingo Jct, OH; five grandchildren, Kaylynn, Kamryn, Marcus, Kayson and Sean.

Following Nucks wishes he will be cremated with no services observed. His arrangements and cremation are in the care of the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Smithfield.
