Carol Bartels, 80, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday Jan. 14, 2022, in the Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Carol was born March 12, 1941, in Steubenville, daughter of the late Dewey and Edna (Beaver) Skinner.

Carol formerly worked for 10 years in the circulation department at the Steubenville Herald Star. She was a member of the Toronto Eagles Aerie #1276.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Fred who passed away July 14, 2020; two brothers, Norman and Larry Skinner and sister, Laura Prosser.

Surviving are her four daughters, Debbie (John) Leonhart of KY, Teresa (Paul) Prosser, and Anita Keenan both of Toronto, and Tina (Leo) Dubois of Columbus, OH; sister, Rose Cole and sister-in-law, Shirley Bartels both of Toronto; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Sara, Paul, Kimberly, Hunter, Chelsea, Shane, and Logan; three great-grandchildren, Myles, Isaac and Jewelyn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 18, 2022, from 3 PM to 6 PM followed by Carols funeral service at 7 PM at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Rick Prosser will officiate, and a private burial will be held in the Island Creek Cemetery in Toronto. www.jefosterfh.com
