Carol Ann (Mihalik) Santone Pesuit, 68, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 in Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, OH.

Carol was born July 15, 1947 in Steubenville, daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Maydak) Mihalik.

She was a member of Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Steubenville where she served as former church secretary and was also a member of the Federation Russian Orthodox Club.

Carol was a 1966 graduate of Stanton Local High School in Hammondsville, OH. She briefly attended the Ohio Valley School of Nursing. In her early career, she pursued various healthcare positions as a phlebotomist, histotech and a therapeutic masseuse in Columbus, OH. She retired, after 30 years, from Trinity Health Systems, where she worked her last 20 years as a Tumor Registrar.

Carol married William A. Santone of Dillonvale, OH in 1970 and later married Michael Pesuit of Steubenville in 1996, who passed away in 2015.

She leaves behind her two sons, Eric Z. Santone of Toronto and Paris A. Tony Santone of Wickliffe, OH; her three sisters, Deborah (Nicholas) Covelli of Mentor, OH, Barbara (Robert) Hall of Weirton, WV and Nadine (William) Myers of Powell, OH; her three nephews, Marcus, Alex and Jacob and her niece and god-daughter, Deanna.

Visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday evening from 4-8 pm at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home in Toronto. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church in Steubenville. V. Rev. John S. Kopcha will officiate and burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Steubenville. Trisagion Services will be held Tuesday evening at 7 pm at the funeral home.
