Carolyn H. (Stagani) McGrath, 67, of Toronto, passed away Saturday Oct. 11, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer. Carolyn was born November 9, 1940 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Andy and Adelaide 'Della' (Troski) Stagani. She was a graduate of the class of 1958 at Toronto High School; she was a member of the Toronto Alumni Assoc. and the Junior Civic Club. Carolyn was also a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Toronto. Carolyn was currently working as a Real Estate Agent for Century 21. She was a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Ohio Assoc. of Realtors, and the Steubenville Area Board of Realtors for 28 years; she was a multi-million dollar producer for Century 21 Teramana-Westling, Inc. and a recipient of the prestigious President's Award for many years and many awards too numerous to mention. Carolyn was the number one producer in Toronto for many years and she will be sadly missed by her many friends, clients and colleagues. Carolyn had a love for photography, which she shared by taking pictures of her family and other events, and she also enjoyed her family vacations to the beach. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her infant sister Mary Stagani. Carolyn, known to her family as 'Maw Maw,' is survived by her husband, Richard 'Bird' McGrath whom she married on July 5, 1986; her three daughters, Lisa (Wellington) Cooper of Toronto, Amy (Wellington) (Tommy) Dorsey of Steubenville, OH, and Erica (Wellington) (Brad) Meier of Tiffin, OH; her six grandchildren, Jordan and Trevor Cooper, Katelynn and Andrew Dorsey, Bradleigh and Carleigh Meier; four sons and their families, Gary (Lisa) McGrath and their daughter Jessica Jenkins all of Toronto, Randy (Lisa) McGrath and their sons Jesse and Zack and his son Caden all of Toronto, Kent (Tina) McGrath of Toronto, and Kevin (Jill) McGrath and their daughters Olivia and Megan all of Galloway, OH. Visitation for Carolyn will be held on Monday evening from 7 - 9 pm. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6 -8 pm. at the J. E. Foster Funeral Homes, Inc. 701 Findley St. in Toronto. On Wednesday friends and family may call from 9:00 am till the time of the blessing service at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Her Funeral Liturgy with Mass will follow at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church located on North River Ave. in Toronto. Father Thomas Vennitti will be the Celebrant. Carolyn's vigil service held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm. Burial will follow in Toronto Union Cemetery.
