After a courageous 21-year battle with Parkinson's Disease, on Thursday November 27, 2025, Catherine Jean (Landis) Dyer, 71, was called home to the Lord.

She was born Aug. 6, 1954, in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late William "Bill" and Josephine "Jo" Landis.

She is survived by her daughter Billie Jo, favorite Son-In-Law Adam Piverotto, her adoring grand puppy Zeppelin, son Robert Dyer Jr. and family; sisters, Karen (Roger) Beckwith, Debbie Rice (Bob Millhorn), Judy Fellows, and Lori (John) Harris; 9 nieces and nephews, 15 Greats, and 3 Great-Great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by brothers-in-law Mike Rice and Nate Fellows, and niece Jamie Rose.

Cathy lived her life with a faith that sustained her. Prior to her illness she was an active member of the East Liverpool First Church of the Nazarene where she led the NYI Teen group for many years. She was also active in Choir, Secret Sisters, and led the organization of Billie Jo's BBQ.

She loved any reason to celebrate, especially Christmas, and was a master party and holiday planner finding no occasion too small for decorations and a good time.

A cosmetologist by trade, Cathy worked in several East Liverpool area salons until Parkinson's forced her to hang up her shears in 2013.

In recent years she was extremely active in her community as President of the Resident Council, working in the 'Snack Shack', Valentines Day Dance Queen, always first in line for every activity, especially Bingo. She continued to give, handing out notes and cards to fellow residents and staff for special occasions or when she knew they were feeling down.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 7 from 2 to 4 pm at the J.E Foster Funeral Home in Toronto, OH. Pastor Amanda Crews will lead a service for Cathy on Monday at 11 am at the funeral home and interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
